Mission Motorsport welcomes BFBS Esports to the National Transition Event to engage the youth in Hot Lap Challenge
A Mission Fuelled by Purpose
Mission Motorsport, the Forces' Motorsport Charity, welcomed BFBS Esports to the National Transition Event at Silverstone. This incredible yearly event aims to enrich the lives of Veterans after exit from the service. Their mission focuses on the "recovery and rehabilitation of individuals impacted by military service. It promotes both physical and mental wellbeing by creating opportunities within motorsport and the automotive industry". Through this event, BFBS Esports was keen to share many of the wonderful opportunities that can be found within Esports and entertain throughout the day.
BFBS Esports engage youth in Hot Lap Challenge
The BFBS Esports team provided a thrilling GT3 sim racing experience around a virtual Silverstone track, whilst directly next to the Silverstone pit exit! Visitors toyed with in-game and IRL setups to maximise their Hot Lap performances, which were soon placed on a Top Gear-esque leaderboard. Congratulations to our Top 8 Hot Lap drivers from across the day and Jack for clinching our fastest time of the day, with a rapid 2.03.715!
Rocket League talent from a Motorsports world
Our Esports Operations Manager, and ex-professional Rocket League player Owen "Psycho" Williams gave coaching sessions on the day through live replay analysis. For the BFBS team, this was an eye-opening experience, showcasing exceptional young talents, who could very well contest Season 2 of the BFBS Pro League.
The BFBS Esports team wish to extend a warm thank you to Mission Motorsport, for giving us such a fantastic opportunity.
